چکیده

Polycystic ovarian syndrome can be defined as an endocrine disorder that most affects the reproductive system of women childbearing age; its causes are not exactly known. However, majority experts agree it is a multifactorial entity with multiple factors. Genetics becoming increasingly important. In recent years, several genes involved in pathogenic processes this have been identified. Within these, important ones encode steroidogenesis enzymes and insulin receptors, well other hormones associated actions gonadotropins their receptors. The results obtained included 1) PCOS had significantly lower levels adiponectin compared to controls. Adiponectin were both lean obese control group. 2) higher LH, FSH, LH/FSH ratio, total testosterone 3) Both group, however, FSH increased only 4) cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL VLDL HDL-cholesterol 5) cholesterol Only 6) genotype analysis FSHR gene polymorphism showed heterozygote Ala/Thr was more frequent patients than controls (64.1% versus 40%).

Functional genetic polymorphisms and female reproductive disorders: Part I: polycystic ovary syndrome and ovarian response

BACKGROUND The identification of polymorphisms associated with a disease can help to elucidate its pathogenesis, and this knowledge can be used to improve prognosis for women with a particular disorder, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Since an altered response to ovarian stimulation is also a characteristic of the disease, further knowledge about its aetiology could help in defining t...
